Sending Alerts

Learn how to broadcast emergency notifications to your alert nodes.

Quick Alert Types

AlertHz provides three pre-configured alert types for common emergencies:

🩹 First Aid

Medical emergency alert - notifies staff of a health-related incident requiring immediate attention.

🔥 Fire

Fire emergency alert - activates fire alarm protocols and evacuation procedures.

🎤 Voice

Custom voice announcement - broadcast general messages or specific instructions.

Broadcasting an Alert

Step 1: Choose Alert Type

Click one of the emergency alert buttons on your dashboard: - First Aid - Fire - Voice

Step 2: Select Target Nodes

A modal will open showing all available nodes.

Options: - Check individual nodes to target specific locations - Use Select All Online Nodes to broadcast everywhere - Offline nodes are automatically excluded

Step 3: Review Selection

The bottom of the modal shows your selection count:

5 nodes selected

Step 4: Send Alert

Click the Send Alert button to broadcast immediately.

Alert Broadcast Behavior

When you send an alert: 1. AlertHz sends HTTP requests to all selected nodes 2. Each node receives the alert type and timestamp 3. Devices activate their alert protocols (sirens, displays, etc.) 4. Dashboard shows confirmation of successful broadcast
